This is still new to me so bear with me.
We were in North Carolina for Thanksgiving to be with Dick's brother and family. What a fun time. An opportunity to spend time with the little kids and the older adults and everyone in between. Really enjoyed talking to the college kids.
Then off to Minneapolis to be with Pat's brothers and families. Party, party, party. Had to come home just to catch up with sleep.
Now on to projects.
Dick has removed the dresser from the aft cabin of the boat. This is the first step in rearranging the main cabin to increase the size of the bed and make it more useful to live in for the next part of our lives. He continues to work on remounting the windlass on the bow pulpit to better support the heavier anchor and chain. We will be changing all the lights to LED's to reduce our energy use. We have purchased 2 more marine grade batteries for a total of 4 batteries, separated into two banks which will double our house battery capacity.
Thanks to Tom from Keenan's Marina, we now have a new electric dinghy winch ready to mount so we can raise and lower the dinghy into the water. Work is progressing on the new canvas on the flybridge which will give us a large covered area with screens and windows. It matches the new seating we added to the flybridge last summer. Very comfortable. The inside curtains are down and decisions need to be made. What color, what fabric or what blinds and who will make them?
The next projects include reworking the propellers and painting the bottom.
We are hoping to launch in May.
We still each have a house to sell. We still need to teach our sweet dog to do her duty on fake grass. Help!
