Sitting in Suttons Bay Marina enjoying the fresh air and sunset.  My friend Sally has joined us for 2 very wonderful days of mostly sunshine.  Having trouble trying to post pictures on this blog.  When I get this figured out I will post some terrific pictures from our good bye party and early travels.
We spent 3 days at Frankfort at Jacobson's marina.  Then a 9 hour day traveling to Sutton's Bay.  Perfect water.  Waves less than 1 foot.  A real dream of a day. Dick took our bikes to the local bike shop and had them fitted with new detachable shopping baskets on the front and carrying satchels on the rear. That should make shopping much easier except that when Dick put his bike on the boat the brand new basket on the front fell off and now sits at the bottom of the bay.  We will try to retrieve it tomorrow when the sun comes up. Now we just need to add a dog carrier for Abby! Enjoyed the local eateries and swam in the bay. The water is so clear here it's like looking into an aquarium. We observed two loons as they totally submerged themselves while eating. Also, enjoyed a family of swans. I think maybe ten swans a swimming. The young ones beaks are not orange yet like their parents. Looking forward to anchoring out tomorrow and dinner on the grill.
More tomorrow.
