We are in Wisconsin!!!
Wow.  What a crossing.  The first third of the trip was 2 -4 FT waves and I thought I was back in hell.   However, we knew more about how to handle it this time and secured everything and kept going.  The next third of the way across the lake, the waves calmed down to a mere 1 -2 footers.  The last third was like glass since we were in the Lee of the land.  Spotted the lighthouse as the Sturgeon Bay channel without a problem.  Very easy to slide into the beautiful, man-made canal and into Sturgeon Bay and our slip.  Much calmer waters on this side of Lake Michigan.  Now it feels like our journey has really begun.
We plan to leave kind of early tomorrow to get to Egg Harbor and collect our mail... only a week later than we planned.   We will also be looking for other interesting places for the next few days here in Door County.
More to come.
