Dream Catchers Dream

It has been an eventful few days.  We anchored out near  Ft. Heiman state park.  A beautiful little cove where there were 2 other looper boats...people we knew.  Put the dinghy  in the water so I could take Abby to shore to do her business.  Very quiet and peaceful.  The next day all we had to do was to get the dinghy back on the back of the boat.  We have an electric winch that makes it easy.  That is until things started to break.  Twice the dinghy fell back into the water when something broke but Dick does not like to give up on things (Is this the lesson I am here to learn from this man?  Not to give up?)  We finally got the dinghy back on board using some ingenuity.  Now he is inspired to use what we have, differently.  More to come I'm sure.
Now we are at Pebble Isle Marina.  There used to be a town here, Johnsonville, Tenn.  It was flooded over in the 1930's with the completion of the damming of the Tenn. River.  Johnsonville is best know for its role during the Civil war.  It was part of the supply line for the Union troups.  It was also the place that General Sherman started his March to the sea that ruined the Confederacy and brought an end to the war.  Yes, we have seen Confederate flags for sale.
We have decided to stay here an extra day cause they have treated us so well.  We might get stuck here an extra day because it is suppose to storm tomorrow.  It has been ungodly hot here but suppose to get down in the 40's by this weekend.  We will have to leave Saturday for sure to make it thru the next 2 locks and Joe Wheeler state park.  Always more to come.
