We are back at our old slip at Sombrero Marina.  We still have a few friends that are still here.  It has been a disappointing day.  The boat mechanic started by cleaning the heat exchangers on both engines.  Guess it hadn't been done in many many years.  Then they tied the boat securely to the dock and put it in drive.  The engines ran well but our wonderful mechanic, Ramiro, believes we are in need of a new head gasket on the port engine.  He also believes that we can make it to North Carolina before we have that done.  It would be about half the cost.
Meanwhile, the weather has turned iffy so we are here for a few days.  Winds are suppose to calm down by Sunday.  Scott, the dock master here, has given us a very fair deal on our old slip with permission to stay an extra day if we need it.  Abby the boat dog, is happy to be back with people she knows and loves.  We also found out that she likes to listen to old 60's music.  So do we.  Who would have thought.
So here we are for another few days.  Unfortunately now we travel alone.
We are planning to spend our first 2 nights on the hook if we don't have any further problems.  It's all an adventure.
