Well, we left Sombrero this morning on a beautiful day, following our friends on Miss Mary. Got thru the channel and went under the seven mile bridge and then it all started. Engines over heated and Dick went down to the engine room to see what he could do. The new belt on the starboard engine was broken so he replaced that quickly. Then he cleaned out the strainers from the water intake on both engines. The starboard engine started and continued to run no problem. The port engine however, continued to over heat. So we turned off the port engine but Dick wanted to continue on. I drove and he went back to the engine room. He bled the line for the antifreeze and replaced the impeller. Then he started it again but it continued to over heat. So after checking in with Mary and Larry on Miss Mary we decided we needed to go back to Marathon where we knew for sure where the mechanics were. So we are back in Marathon Boat Works waiting on a mechanic. Hopefully they can still look at it today but for now we are stationery again. Words to live by, at least for me.....Trust your captain.
